Julia Wallace to speak at Building Garden Communities Conference 2023

Otterpool Park’s Placemaking Director Julia Wallace will join a panel of experts at the Building Garden Communities Conference next month.

The conference, on 26 April 2023 at RIBA London, brings together industry experts, developers, investors, public authorities and stakeholders to discuss garden communities in the UK.

Julia Wallace will take to the stage alongside Sarah Dance of SELEP and Flora Samuel from the University of Cambridge to deliver a session on Building Inclusivity and Creating Jobs. She will discuss how garden communities can embrace surrounding communities as well as building a new one, using examples of how Otterpool Park Garden Town is working with local communities and parishes surrounding Otterpool Park, such as Lympne, Stanford and Sellindge.

The session will also explore how garden communities can deliver social value and how they can support businesses and create jobs in order to provide local employment and support skills development.
