Otterpool Park has been announced as one of seven sponsors of the Folkestone Book Festival 2019. The festival, entitled The Shape of Things to Come – Think Future, Think Folkestone, takes place from Friday 15 – Sunday 14 November and draws inspiration from the philosophy and spirit of HG Wells, who lived and write in Folkestone.
Speaking on behalf of Otterpool Park Garden Town, Andy Jarrett said,
“We are excited to be sponsoring the Folkestone Book Festival for the first time this year. It is important for us to be a part of local life as our plans progress. Otterpool Park will embrace the creativity and culture of Folkestone and the wider local area, as it develops its own identity, growing a new community where people want to live, work and visit.
“Folkestone Book Festival celebrates our rich local heritage, broadening horizons and looking to the future. These are things that are important to us and we are excited to see what the new curators have planned for this year’s programme.”
The festival will be curated for the first time by Liam Browne and Sean Doran and the full programme will be announced in September 2019.
